Well its official, pulling season is over.  Time to shift gears a bit, and get some of my projects done. I should have some updated pictures of the chevy up here soon. My next project will be arriving soon, a 1976 toyota fj40 landcruiser. Anyone interested in having a vehicle built, or modified just shoot me an email with details to nitrooffroad@gmail.com. Thanks for looking. Happy trails.

Not much new & exciting this week, Check out the high voltage page for some pics of the drivetrain breakage we have been experiencing. More upgrades on the way.

Check out The High Voltage pull truck page here http://www.highvoltagetruckpulling.blogspot.com/
You can see videos of all of this years prostock diesel pulls, and see photos of the High Voltage team.

Here are a few pictures of project Heavy Chevy. The rear frame was cut off about a foot behind the cab, and upgraded to a full 8" frame. The rear axle is a 14 bolt corporate out of a van. It has dana 60 front brake calipers, brackets, and rotors, 4.56 gears, detroit locker, and a great lakes offroad diff cover. The front axle is a hybrid. The housing is a 78 ford high pinion dana 60 that has been shaved for ground clearance, and filled with 4.56 gears. Knuckles are dodge and spindles, hubs, rotors, and other associated brake parts are gm. Outer stub shafts, and locking hubs have been upgraded to dana 70 35 spline units. Rear suspension is comprised of 63" chevy springs with a shackle flip. Front suspension is comprised of 52" chevy springs with Nitro Offroad fabricated hangers. Tires are 37-12.5-16.5 goodyear mt/r. The drivetrain will ultimately be a diesel (either a cummins or duramax), but for now will probably be a 454 with a nv4500 5 speed backed up by a divorced np205 transfer case.
